USAF fighter pilots and brothers: Lt. Col. Peter Smith, USAF, Ret., and Col. David Smith, USAF, Commander, 419th Fighter Wing.

On Veterans Day, November 11th, The Mentors radio host Tom Loarie will give listeners a rare, behind-the-scenes look into the journey to becoming the “Right Stuff” with guests Lt. Colonel Peter Smith, USAF, Ret. and Colonel David Smith USAF, Commander of the 419th Fighter Wing. 

Both guests are U.S. Air Force Academy graduates, experienced A-10, F-16 and F-35 fighter pilots, combat veterans having served in the Serbian and Middle East combat zones, and real-life brothers.

Today Lt. Col. Peter Smith lives in Wellington, Florida, and serves as a Captain for Jet Blue. Colonel David Smith serves as Commander for the 419th Fighter Wing at the Hill Air Force Base in Utah.

Loarie, who dubs this show episode, “Conquering the Wild Blue Yonder,” is one of three rotating CEO hosts of The Mentors Radio. His pioneering leadership in the life sciences sector has resulted in more than 20 medical devices brought to market, some of which are life-saving.  The following week, host Ric Brutocao, former president of DACOR and the head of a number of companies over the years will host the show, and host John Phillips, co-owner with his wife, Mary, of one of the largest and most customer-centric stained glass window companies in the industry–Associated Crafts & Willet-Hauser, some of whose legacy stained glass are more than a century old, will follow Brutocao’s week.
