How to Find a Job in a Hard Times with Guests Kelly and Sue Connelly

In today’s episode, Host Tom Loarie talks with job search experts and sisters Sue and Kelly Connelly regarding how to find a job in challenging times. In 1997, marketing communications consultant and founder of Connelly Communications, Sue Connelly, launched a simple email list to Keep In Touch with friends and clients. But soon after, as friends began experiencing layoffs, the list transitioned into a job opportunity lifeline for the friends. As job opportunities were shared with others, the list rapidly grew and Sue engaged her sister, Kelly, to transition the email list into a job board. Kelly is the principal and creative director of a San Francisco design and branding firm. Today the KIT List, named for it’s origins as a Keep In Touch list, boasts 67,000 free subscribers and is well-ranked among employeers seeking quality employees. Show Notes and Radio podcast links will appear after the show’s first airing Saturday morning. Listen to our radio podcast any time—on any platform—here.

How to Lead in a Crisis with Guest Harry Kraemer, Jr. and Host Tom Loarie

Are you struggling to lead—in your business, non-profit, place of worship, or at home? Today, Host Tom Loarie talks with guest mentor Harry Kraemer Jr., who is Northwestern’s Kellogg Professor of Leadership (named a favorite professor by students) and the former Chairman and CEO of Baxter International, where he worked for 23 years. Kraemer has written three books on values-based leadership. His strength, however, is not merely in knowledge and understanding of leadership, but in the ability to mentor others to lead well and to anchor all they do in the principles that matter most, putting people first.
